Hey y’all not sure where to begin, so here goes the start. As you well know it’s been a crazy week back home to guatemala. With many uncertainties and no peace before returning and the enemy attacking hard. I was at a point where everything that the LORD had placed in my heart to say when given the opportunity to speak at a church or to a group of people while on our trip was put to the test. I knew I had to stick to HIS word even when I couldn’t feel it. Knowing at any point I may have to take my family and skip out. Leaving what GOD had put in my heart to do on hold. Through your faithfulness to GOD and your prayers I write to say redemption, grace, and forgiveness has come upon the two men whom threatened our family and ministry. It is absolutely incredible how our Heavenly FATHER as shown up and shown out in all of this. One day when you see us in person feel free to ask us details as it would be easier to share in person.
So are we completely out from being threatened?
I would say not 100% but GOD will provide.
Does this affect people coming to visit us?
Not at all as the overall scheme of things has been settled.
Do we understand why GOD allowed this to happen?
Not exactly but we do know it was to grow our faith and put a couple of things into action for the ministry here.
Can you stop praying for us?
You can But we ask that you do not, it’s the greatest thing you will ever do for us and we need them now more than ever.
We are forever at debt to each you who have specifically prayed for us this past week. Words can not describe our gratitude. The Bible says James 5:16
Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
The last part of that verse illuminated this week through you.
Many other verses GOD showed us through others were ones like psalm 37( which was the one he placed on my heart to start the ministry on the mountain) then this one of that chapter:
8 “Refrain from anger and turn from wrath;
do not fret—it leads only to evil.”
Another one from a friend was:
8 The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
Many other verses like that of GOD just comforting and guiding us through HIS word. Hebrews 4:12
“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
Another cool thing out of this is that our neighbors were here for us since it all went down on Friday they even came over Saturday morning brought a guard as you can see in the picture (hehehe). Then they helped us move stuff out of the house to the first level of our new building so we can give the house back on December 1st. Some have called to see if we needed any assistance. Also Chad and Dany came up to help too.
Between y’all and our neighbors we have been very blessed. Please, please, please keep those prayers coming and know we too are praying for you.
Blessing in CHRIST,
The Clemmons Family Guatemala
I hope everyone is having a great Sunday! My name is Katie James, I am on the board at Live Him Loud Ministry & serve as the secretary/treasurer also!
On behalf of Adam & Vilma I am providing an update & some specific prayer requests for the ministry…
In response to the video Adam posted on Friday evening… They arrived back to Guatemala mid week & after being home in the states they felt very encouraged & anxious to get back to ministering to the people of Guatemala, but things have been very unsettling since they returned. I ask that you pray for two men in particular, that are truly in desperate need of our prayers. Without going into a lot of detail, they are in a very dark place & have threatened the safety of our Clemmons family. I personally would like to share a small part of my conversation with Vilma last night. She said that when she felt the most fearful, that she was crying on the inside, but strong on the outside God gave her the scripture to say out loud to one of these men… ‘For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain’ Philippians 1:21… Praise God for giving her strength in this hard moment & for His protection over them! I admire Vilma for allowing God to use her to bring glory to Him even in the hardest battle!
In the midst of these last few days the Lord blessed Adam, Vilma & the kids with some sweet, Godly neighbors that were very encouraging & helpful to them & we thank Him for that blessing! I know everyone goes thru hard seasons, you may be facing one yourself today, but trust that this season isn’t meaningless, it isn’t wasted, God has a purpose & plan for it! That’s what we are trusting in today!
✝️ Prayer Requests:
• Pray for protection & peace for the Clemmons Family.
• Pray for the hearts of these men, that they would have the strength to realize they can & need to trust in God.
• Pray that we are able to find the right person to hire & guard the ministry.
• Pray for the construction & well digging projects, that God would provide the crew for these to be completed. (We will be posting video & picture updates soon).
We are so thankful God has blessed us with all of you to be part of what He has called Adam & Vilma to do in Guatemala! We give Him all the glory & praise!! ❤️
Adam shared the he is clinging to Psalm 37 so I will leave you with a verse… “Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you your heart’s desires. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act,”
Live HIM Loud,
No words to describe how much we are so thankful to God and with our family and friends; papa and gamma for picking us up at the airport and letting us use their car to travel, the Sugiyama family in Knoxville and the Lindsay family in Virginia for treating us so well like Zachaeus treated Jesus to his house in Luke 19:1-10.
Tomorrow morning we are heading towards Charlotte NC to stay with our awesome friends Ericka Morgan Jesse Morgan, their friends who have been a blessing to a lot of people in Guatemala, we know for sure they’ve been a blessing to us and a lot of missionaries.
We had the honor and privilege to share Saturday night and then twice on Sunday. Then in the afternoon we went and saw a musical play that Grace was in.
All for His Glory- Live Him Loud.🙌
